Armah's artistic working method is that he thinks visually. With a fine sense for the visual communication of a core statesmen, he directly and associatively transmits events and experiences into abstract and figurative compositions. For him, art is realistic pragmatism as well as the struggle for spiritual freedom, which he tries to gradually achieve with every finished topic and serial conception. Armah feels that the deeper understanding of an artist is only then important, if the works trigger an emotional reaction first. This reaction is prior to any contextualization and gives the work its significance. Armah's art is about sincerity and therefore often painful self-reflection, about the development of attitude and character building as a foundation for genuine discourses of identity and self-determination.
