The perception of spaces influences our mood, our thoughts and our actions.
Jörg Niemann is a carpenter and studied product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, until 2014. In his artistic work, he concentrates on models and the perception of spatial conditions. Through meticulously planned arrangements, he creates moments of interaction between the viewer and space, opening up unusual perspectives.
For the Millerntor Gallery #6, he is recreating a part of the grandstand in a small-scale sculpture. To-gether with the depicted space, his model creates a play area for spatial discovery. The work is a scenographic staging of space as a model.
