At the time living in Greifswald, Oliver Körnig is still at the beginning of his career. There he's studying art and works as a bartender. His roots lie in drawings with cole and markers. But soon after, he has gotten into ceramics and painting as well as street art because of several collaborations he did with fellow students and others.
One main motif of his work is the face. Not the ideal image but the alienated and distorted one you may remember after seeing a stranger passing by in the supermarket or the bar for the first time. Often silly things are kept in mind and others become blurred, so in these situations a picture emerges that loses its similarity to the origin.
