Tomas Ives

Tomas takes inspiration from movements and conflicts that inspire changes, processes and perceptions in people. Sometimes violent and many other abstract, the figurative landscapes depicted are constructed through subconscious shapes. Just like Roberto Matta's "inscapes", to express the psyche of the artist through tools and gestures, Tomas switches between street art and poster art using stencils, screen prints, spray, collages and markers. Sometimes macabre and mischievous, sometimes ironic and playful Tomas' oeuvre finds a home through neo-pop art with a deep Latin American gesture.
